ISSUE
Users attempting to share a .SWF file in a Webex meeting encounter the error message: 'We could not share this file because this file type is not supported for file sharing.' This issue prevents sharing .SWF files during meetings can disrupt presentations and collaborative efforts.



RESOLUTION
To address the issue of unsupported .SWF file sharing, users can follow this workaround:

1. Convert the .SWF File:
   •  Use a third-party converter tool to convert the .SWF file to a supported format such as MP4 or WMV.
2. Share the Converted File:
   • Once the file is converted, use the File Share option in the Webex meeting to share the MP4 or WMV file.

Note: Webex Technical Support does not assist with third-party converter tools. Users should select a reliable converter tool at their discretion.

Cisco Webex will no longer support the sharing of .swf files in meetings. For more details, users can refer to the What's New in Webex (WBS32) documentation.

CAUSE
Starting with Webex Business Suite (WBS) 32.10 and later, Cisco Webex no longer supports sharing .SWF files in meetings. This change is part of an update to enhance security and compatibility within the Webex platform.
