TLS 1.2 Required in Webex Meetings
Microsoft Internet Explorer
-
Go to Tools , choose Internet Options , and then select the Advanced tab.
-
Check TLS 1.2 and then uncheck SSL 3.0 for additional security.
-
Click Apply , and then OK .
Google Chrome
The minimum supported version for use with Meetings is Google Chrome 65. If you are on an earlier version you should update to avoid interrupted service. Google Chrome versions earlier than 33 will not be able to connect to Meetings after TLS 1.2 enforcement.
Mozilla Firefox
The minimum supported version for use with Meetings is Firefox 52. If you are on an earlier version you should update to avoid interrupted service. Firefox versions earlier than 27 will not be able to connect to Meetings after TLS 1.2 enforcement.
Microsoft Edge
The Microsoft Edge browser is compliant with TLS 1.2 and users can continue to use it to start and join Webex meetings after Aug 03, 2018.
Java
Java version 6 and Java version 7 users must enable TLS 1.2 manually from the Java Control Panel:
-
From the Windows Start Menu, select the Java Control Panel.
-
Select the Advanced tab.
-
Scroll down and select the Use TLS 1.2 box.
Java version 8 already has this setting enabled.
Android and iOS
No interruptions are expected when joining meetings with Webex Meetings for Android or iOS.
Cisco Webex Web Application
Same browser support applies if joining from the Webex Web app.
XML and URL APIs
Application calls to the Cisco Webex API must use TLS 1.2. After TLS 1.2 enforcement, applications won’t be able to connect to Webex Meetings using protocols lower than TLS 1.2.
Cisco Directory Connector
If you use Cisco Directory Connector to sync your users, you must upgrade to Cisco Directory Connector 3.0 before Cisco starts enforcing TLS 1.2 connections. After TLS 1.2 enforcement begins, Cisco Directory Connector versions earlier than 3.0 won’t work. If you don’t upgrade then the provisioning and deprovisioning of users won’t occur in Webex App. Cisco Directory Connector 3.0 relies on Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and later versions. Please also make sure your VM or Windows OS has Microsoft .NET 4.5 or later installed. To Learn more, check out https://collaborationhelp.cisco.com/article/nqvsbmq .
