Webex App | Tag speakers in your meeting recordings

list-menuFeedback?
When you have a recorded meeting where several speakers are present, the transcript doesn't show individual names. Now, you can easily tag speakers within the transcript, to reflect their correct identities. It’s a quick and simple way to make sure the transcript accurately reflects everyone's contributions, and makes it much easier to look back on the discussion.

Only the meeting host, who also owns the recording, can tag speakers.

1

Sign in to Webex App.

2

Click Meetings Meetings icon, then select Meeting recap to see all available recordings.

To see a list of available recordings shared in a space, click Meetings > Meeting recap.

3

Select and open a recording, then click Transcript Transcript icon.

You'll see a notification if there are unidentified speakers in the transcript. Click Tag now to open the first segment of the conversation.

  • Click Whiteboard pen on the conversation segment, to replace the generic speaker label with the speakers name, then click Save.

  • You can also separate unique speakers who are speaking from the same room device.

Click on the conversation segment to play that video snippet to help identify the speaker. Click Whiteboard pen to replace the room device speaker label with the speakers name, then click Save.

When you edit the speakers name for a specific conversation segment, it's reflected across the transcript for that speaker.

While the transcript reflects the speaker tag updates, notes and action items remain unchanged and don't reflect the new speaker tags.
