You can scan the QR code or manually enter the SM-DP address and activation code to add Webex Go in your mobile phone. The codes are intended only for single use. Please reach out to your administrator if a new activation code is required.

Before you Begin:

  • Confirm your phone is eSIM compatible and unlocked. For help, please refer to the device section below.

  • Sign-out of the Webex application on your mobile phone to configure the calling mode settings.

  • Make sure you have an active Wi-Fi network.

End User Device Activation

Supported iPhone Models: iPhone XS/XR series and later

Device Lock Status:

  1. Go to SettingsGeneralAbout

  2. Under Carrier Lock you should see No SIM restrictions. If you don't see the message, contact:

    • your IT administrator (if you are on corporate plan)

    • Carrier (if you are on a personal plan)

Scanning the QR Code

  1. Navigate to SettingsCellular DataAdd Cellular Plan.

  2. Scan the QR code included in the activation e-mail.

  3. Tap Add Cellular Plan.

  4. Label your plan: Pick an existing label or create a custom label and click Continue.

  5. Set your default number: The default line will be used when you call or send a message to someone who isn't in your Contacts application.


    If selecting Webex as default line – calls will be recorded. Please note that your organization security and compliance policies will apply for calls going over the business cellular plan. Also, texting is not currently available with your business plan.

  6. Set cellular plan for iMessage and FaceTime: If you are on iOS 13 and later, you can choose which cellular plan you want to use for iMessage and FaceTime. It is recommended to set it to existing plan active on your device.

  7. Set default line for cellular data: It is recommended to set it to existing plan active on your device. However, turn on Allow Cellular Data Switching to access applications when on a call on your business line.

  8. Webex Go leverages VoLTE mobile network for routing calls. Please confirm that the following settings are enabled and restart the mobile phone in order to use the service.

    • Use Carrier Settings slider is enabled under Cellular Data Network.

    • Under Voice & Data, ensure 4G or LTE is selected for data and VoLTE is enabled for voice.

    • Data Roaming slider is enabled.

    • Network Selection slider is set to Automatic.

  9. Please restart your mobile phone, once the setup is complete. You should see Webex network in the Control center. To open control center, swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen.

Manually Enter the Plan

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.

  3. Tap Add Cellular Plan.

  4. Tap Enter Details Manually, at the bottom of your iPhone screen and enter SM-DP+address and activation code provided in the e-mail. Follow step 5 thru step 9 from Scan the QR Code procedure to complete the setup.
