You can scan the QR code or manually enter the SM-DP address and activation code to add Webex Go in your mobile phone. The codes are intended only for single use. Please reach out to your administrator if a new activation code is required.

Before you Begin:

  • Confirm your phone is eSIM compatible and unlocked. For help, please refer to the device section below.

  • Sign-out of the Webex application on your mobile phone to configure the calling mode settings.

  • Make sure you have an active Wi-Fi network.

End User Device Activation

Supported iPhone Models: iPhone XS/XR series and later

Device Lock Status:

  1. Go to SettingsGeneralAbout

  2. Under Carrier Lock you should see No SIM restrictions. If you don't see the message, contact:

    • your IT administrator (if you are on corporate plan)

    • Carrier (if you are on a personal plan)

Scanning the QR Code

  1. Navigate to SettingsCellular DataAdd Cellular Plan.

  2. Scan the QR code included in the activation e-mail.

  3. Tap Add Cellular Plan.

  4. Label your plan: Pick an existing label or create a custom label and click Continue.

  5. Set your default number: The default line will be used when you call or send a message to someone who isn't in your Contacts application.


    If selecting Webex as default line – calls will be recorded. Please note that your organization security and compliance policies will apply for calls going over the business cellular plan. Also, texting is not currently available with your business plan.

  6. Set cellular plan for iMessage and FaceTime: If you are on iOS 13 and later, you can choose which cellular plan you want to use for iMessage and FaceTime. It is recommended to set it to existing plan active on your device.

  7. Set default line for cellular data: It is recommended to set it to existing plan active on your device. However, turn on Allow Cellular Data Switching to access applications when on a call on your business line.

  8. Once the setup is complete, you should see Webex network in the Control center. To open control center, swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen.

  9. Enable Data Roaming:

    1. Navigate to SettingsCellular.

    2. Select Webex Go line from the available celluar plans.

    3. Tap Data Roaming switch to turn data roaming on.

Manually Enter the Plan

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data.

  3. Tap Add Cellular Plan.

  4. Tap Enter Details Manually, at the bottom of your iPhone screen and enter SM-DP+address and activation code provided in the e-mail. Follow step 5 thru step 9 from Scan the QR Code procedure to complete the setup.

Supported Google Pixel Models: Pixel 3a and later

Device Lock Status:

Scan the QR code

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Network and Internet.

  2. Tap the + sign next to SIMs.

  3. On the Connect to mobile network screen, tap Download a SIM instead?.

  4. Tap Yes in Use 2 SIMs? screen to have two SIMs active at the same time.

  5. Click Next on Download your SIM screen.

  6. Click + sign next to Use a different network in Confirm your network screen.

  7. Scan the QR code.

  8. Confirm you want to use Webex number by clicking on Download in the Use Webex? screen.

  9. Once the download is complete, click Settings to turn on the SIM.

    1. Select Webex under Downloaded SIM.

    2. Turn the toggle on and select Yes when asked to confirm.

  10. Enable Roaming to use data on the eSIM connection.

  11. Setting Dual SIM preferences:

    1. Only one SIM can be the default for data. If you already have one set up, you'll get a notification. It is recommended to use the previously installed SIM as default for data. However, please make sure that Data during calls toggle is enabled for Webex SIM.

    2. For calls, set preference to Ask every time.

    3. For SMS, set preference to previously installed SIM.

Manually Enter the Plan

  1. If you are manually activating Webex Go, follow Step 1 thru Step 6 from above. In the Scan the QR code screen, click Need help at the bottom of the screen and manually enter the network provider code included in the activation e-mail.

  2. After entering the code, please follow Step 8 thru Step 11 from above.

Supported Samsung Models: Samsung S21 and later

Device Lock Status:

Scanning the QR Code

  1. Navigate to SettingsConnectionsSIM card manager.

  2. Tap Add mobile plan and select Scan carrier QR code.

  3. Scan the QR code sent via e-mail.

  4. Select Add plan to phone when the message Add this plan to a new mobile network is displayed.

  5. Click Confirm in the next screen and the plan will be added to your device

  6. Click Allow when prompted to allow secondary SIM to use data during calls.

  7. Set the preferred SIM: The preferred SIM is the default cellular plan used for calls, texts and data.

    • If selecting Webex as primary SIM – calls will be recorded. Please note that your organization security and compliance policies will apply for calls going over the business cellular plan. Also, texting is not currently available with your business plan.
