Care Desktop: Create a New Customer Record

Create a new customer record using Care desktop when a customer contacts your organization for the first time. Provide details in the customer information form to help build a profile that enhances the customer experience.

If a customer is new and their name, email, or phone number is available then their information is automatically populated in the customer information form. If a new customer has no identifiable information available, Care desktop displays the customer as Unknown Customer.

  1. Click the customer name to open the customer information form.

      

    If the customer name is not available, Care desktop displays the customer email, or if neither are available the phone number. If no identifiable information is available, Care desktop displays the customer as Unknown Customer.

  2. Verify that any automatically populated information in the customer information form is correct.

  3. Enter relevant customer information and click Create.

      

    Fields in Care desktop have a 2,000 character limit.
