Error: ‘Your Email Address Is Associated With Another Webex Account’
list-menuFeedback?

ISSUE
The error 'Your email address is associated with another Webex account' occurs when a secured recording has enabled the "Require users to sign in" option, and the host shares the recording with an external user outside their company.

RESOLUTION
You can follow the steps below to disable the "Require users to sign in" option:

  1. Log in to your Webex site.
  2. Navigate to the Recordings tab.
  3. Select the desired recording and click the Edit button.
  4. Under Access Settings > Security, uncheck the "Require users to sign in" option.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save.
CAUSE
Enabling "Require users to sign in" restricts access to users who have signed in to your Webex site. If this option is checked, individuals without an account on your Webex site won't be able to view or download the recording.
