Error: 'Your email address is associated with another WebEx account' While Sharing a Recording

Error: 'Your email address is associated with another WebEx account' while sharing a recording.

Unable to share a recording to an external user.

If the recording is secured and has Require users to sign in enable, and when the host shares the recording with an external user outside their company an error: 'Your email address is associated with another WebEx account' appears.

To resolve this issue:

  1. log in to your Webex site.
  2. Click on the Recordings tab.
  3. Select the Recording, click the Modify button.
  4. Under Access Settings > Security: > Uncheck Require users to sign in.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save.
Note: If you check Require users to sign in, users will be required to sign in to your Webex site before viewing or downloading the recording. People who do not have an account on your Webex site cannot view or download the recording.
