ISSUE
Users cannot schedule a Webex meeting in Outlook and receive the following error message: Webex Integration to Outlook cannot locate the Webex Meeting info in the text box because the Webex meeting info has been edited.

RESOLUTION
To resolve the issue where the Webex Integration to Outlook is unable to locate the Webex Meeting information, follow these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Word.
  2. Go to the File menu.
  3. Select Options to open the Word Options dialog box.
  4. In the Word Options dialog box, click on Trust Center.
  5. Click Trust Center Settings within the Trust Center.
  6. In the Trust Center Settings window, navigate to File Block Settings.
  7. Locate and uncheck the option for Web Pages.
  8. Click OK to save the changes and close the dialog boxes.

After completing these steps, try rescheduling the Webex meeting in Outlook to see if the issue has been resolved.

CAUSE
The error arises when the Webex Integration tool cannot identify the Webex Meeting information in Outlook because it has been modified. Any changes to the text's format, added content, or deletions of the meeting details can cause the tool to malfunction and produce an error. The tool requires the meeting information to remain in its original state to function correctly.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Suppose the issue persists after following the resolution steps. In that case, it may be necessary to check for updates to the Webex Integration tool or Outlook and ensure that both are running the latest versions.
  • Users should avoid manually editing the Webex meeting information in the Outlook invitation to prevent this error from occurring.
  • If the problem continues, consider reaching out to Webex support or your organization's IT department for further assistance.

Please save all work before changing the software settings to avoid data loss.
