Error: 'The domain XYZ.com set in the cloud does not match any domain in your AD within Directory Connector'

    ISSUE
Administrators are encountering an error message: 'The domain xyz.com set in the cloud does not match any domain in your AD within Directory Connector.' This issue arises when Cisco's Directory Connector prevents successful integration with the organization's Active Directory (AD).

    RESOLUTION

Submit a request through Cisco Support to clear the previous Directory Connector configuration. Please also send an email letting me know that you approve of the request to clear the data.

    CAUSE
The error typically occurs if an incorrect domain was selected during the initial setup of the Directory Connector or changes to an existing installation. This can also happen if the Directory Connector is installed on a server part of the wrong domain. Attempting to uninstall and reinstall the Directory Connector to correct the domain will not resolve the issue, as the configuration data, including cached metadata, will still reference the old, incorrect domain.
