Use this article to configure the Salesforce Connected App that Webex Contact Center uses to configure a Salesforce connector.
Before you begin
To generate a digital certificate, see Create a Private Key and Self-Signed Digital Certificate in the Salesforce DX Developer Guide. |
1 | Sign in to Salesforce. | ||
2 | Click Setup at the top-right corner of the page. | ||
3 | In the Quick Find field, enter App Manager, and then click App Manager to navigate to the Lightning Experience App Manager. | ||
4 | Click New Connected App. | ||
5 | Specify the basic information as needed, such as the connected app name and your email address. | ||
6 | Check the Enable OAuth Settings check box. | ||
7 | In the Callback URL field, enter http://localhost:1717/OauthRedirect. | ||
8 | Check the Use digital signatures check box. | ||
9 | Click Choose file to upload the digital (X.509) certificate. | ||
10 | Add the following default OAuth scopes:

11 | Uncheck the Require Secret for Web Server Flow check box. | ||
12 | Click Save. | ||
13 | In the API (Enable OAuth Settings) section, click Copy and save the Consumer Key. Use the Consumer Key to configure the Salesforce Connector using Control Hub. For more information, see Configure a Connector in the Set Up Integration Connectors for Cisco Webex Contact Center article. | ||

15 | In the OAuth Policies section, choose Admin approved users are pre-authorized for Permitted Users from the Permitted Users drop-down list, and click OK. For more information, see Manage OAuth Access Policies for a Connected App in the Salesforce documentation. | ||

18 | Choose the pre-authorized user profiles and permission sets that will be used to access the Connected App. For more information, see Permission Sets in the Salesforce documentation.
