    Error: 'Cannot View Media File'
    list-menuFeedback?

    ISSUE
Users receive an error message stating 'Cannot View Media File' when a presenter attempts to share a video file in a Webex meeting.

    RESOLUTION
To circumvent this limitation and view the shared video content, attendees using Windows or Mac computers are advised to switch from the Webex Web App to the desktop client version of Webex Meetings. The desktop client is fully equipped to handle video file playback shared by presenters.

Steps to Switch to Desktop Client

    1. Exit the Webex meeting in your web browser.
    2. Open the Webex Meetings desktop client on your computer. Download it from the Webex website if you do not have it installed.
    3. Join the meeting again using the desktop client by entering the meeting information.
    4. Once reconnected through the desktop client, you can view the shared video file without encountering the error.

For detailed instructions on how to switch to the desktop client and for additional support, please visit the following Cisco Webex Help Center article:[Troubleshooting Guide for Webex Video Sharing

    CAUSE
The issue arises when a presenter shares a video file by selecting Share > File (Including Video) during a Webex meeting. The Webex Web App operates within a web browser and cannot currently support the playback of video files shared directly into a Webex meeting session.

    ADDITIONAL SUPPORT

If you continue to experience issues or need further assistance, please get in touch with your IT department or Cisco Webex support.
