    ISSUE
Users can encounter an error message stating, 'The site URL you typed does not exist, or the site/network is down. Please try again or contact your system admin.' This error prevents access to the Webex site, disrupting the ability to join or schedule meetings.

    RESOLUTION
To resolve the 'The site URL you typed does not exist or the site/network is down' error, follow these steps:

    Disable Security Software
    • Temporarily disable any security software that may be blocking Webex traffic. This includes applications like Norton Internet Security, McAfee Firewall, and Windows Firewall.

    Configure Network Settings

    • Ensure your network is configured to allow Webex traffic. For detailed instructions, refer to the Webex help article: WBX264 - How Do I Allow Webex Meetings Traffic on My Network?
    Test Different Network Connections
    • If the issue persists, try accessing the Webex site from your network's DMZ or using a different internet connection to rule out network-specific issues.

If the issue persists after performing the suggestions in this article, contact technical support.  For help, see WBX162 - How Do I Contact Webex Customer Services or Technical Support?

    • A firewall or proxy server on the network blocks Webex traffic.
    • Security applications like Symantec or Norton do not allow Webex traffic.
    • APIs are not being enabled for the Webex site.
