ISSUE
Users may encounter the following error message when attempting to use Webex: "You cannot use Webex because your operating system is not supported. We recommend that you upgrade to a supported operating system. 

RESOLUTION

1. Use a supported operating system.

Windows

• Windows Server 2008 64-bit
• Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit
• Windows 10
• Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB
• Windows 11

Mac OS X

• 10.15
• 11.0 (Big Sur)
• 12.0 (Monterey)

Unsupported operating systems include, but are not limited to:

• Windows XP
• Windows 7
• Windows Server 2003

CAUSE
The error occurs when using Webex on an operating system that is not supported by the Webex application. Webex has specific requirements for operating systems capable of running its software effectively and securely. Using an unsupported operating system will prevent users from starting or joining meetings successfully.
