For scripted AI agents, you can configure multiple languages simultaneously and set one language as the default. For more information, see the Configure language and voice section in the Set up scripted AI agent topic.

Supported language models

Webex AI Agent Studio supports Polymatch and Language Encoder multilingual models for training scripted AI agents. These models are available as part of the Webex AI Agent Pro 1.0 (with Swiftmatch) AI engine's settings.

• For an AI agent trained using Polymatch, a distinct model is created for each language and added to the AI agent. The AI engine performs inference based on the language of the customer query.

• The Language Encoder model performs best for training data on long utterances, while Polymatch does the same for short utterances.

• The languages supported by Polymatch and the Language Encoder differ. For more information, refer to the following table.

Accuracy and Performance

• The accuracy and performance of an AI agent trained with the Webex AI Agent Pro 2.0 (with Swiftmatch) model depend on advanced generative AI capabilities integrated during the training phase and the semantic analysis of incoming user messages. The key features that determine its language support and intent accuracy include:

  • Text and Script Support: Comprehensive support for the target language and its specific script, ensuring the engine can process global communication effectively.

  • LLM-generated Linguistic Patterns: Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to interpret a vast array of phrasing variations. This allows the agent to accurately classify intents even when the user's input does not exactly match the training data.

  • Semantic Intent Classification: Moving beyond simple keyword matching, this feature uses advanced algorithms to understand the underlying meaning and context of a query, significantly reducing the impact of ambiguous language.

  • Adaptive Generalization: The ability of the model to effectively generalize across similar utterances, which minimizes the need for exhaustive manual examples while maintaining high precision during inference.
