Error: 'We can't connect to your webcam'

Error: We can't connect to your webcam. The webcam may need to be installed properly or may be used by another program.

For WBS (Web-Based System) version 40.9 and newer:

  1. During the meeting, select Audio & Video.
  2. Then, choose Camera from the options.
  3. Select the appropriate video device From the Camera drop-down menu.
For WBS version 40.8 and older
  1. During the meeting, select More Options.
  2. Then, choose Camera.
  3. You can select the appropriate video device from the 'Camera' drop-down menu.
  • Ensure no other applications are using the webcam. Close any applications accessing the webcam (e.g., Skype, Communicator).
  • Check the webcam's connection to the computer if it's an external device.
  • Verify that the webcam drivers are up to date in the Device Manager.
  • Confirm that the system has permission to access the webcam, especially after recent updates or changes in privacy settings.
  • Restart the computer to resolve any temporary software conflicts.
