Overview

The administration settings are serviced as part of the Webex User Hub and are based on similar functions within the Webex Control Hub. The User Hub admin settings deliver an experience that makes common Webex services administrative tasks easy to set up and use.

For companies or teams with limited/no IT support and the small number of users that only need a few key features to set up and maintain their accounts, the admin settings within User Hub delivers key functionalities that are relevant to the Webex package they signed up.

For Partners, they will be able to set up and manage their customers’ experience via both simple and expert views, leveraging the best management settings based on appropriate customers’ needs could reduce onboarding support and operational complexity. Below are the features available in User Hub - Admin Settings for Partner Administrators. Only the features listed in the table below are supported in User Hub.

Meetings management

Administrators can manage Meetings sit site default language, recordings, and Webex Assistant for the organization.

Edit default language

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Go to Services > Meetings.

  3. Under Common settings section select the default languages for your Webex site services:

    • Suite package

    • Meetings package

    • Calling package

Manage recordings

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Go to Services > Meetings.

  3. Under the Recordings section manage your organization’s meetings recordings:

    • Suite package

    • Meetings package

    • Calling package

  4. Click Manage, select the recording to view, download or delete the recording.

Additional features

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Go to Services > Meetings.

    • Slido – to enable live polls, Q&A, quizzes and word clouds toggle All packages.

    • Webex Assistant – An AI-powered assistant makes your meetings more productive, and your time better spent, toggle to enable:

      • Suite package

      • Meetings package

Third-party integration

Administrators can allow their users to integrate Google Drive, and Microsoft Office 365 accounts with their Webex account.

Messaging management

Administrators can manage file sharing, allow guest users, and cloud storage for messaging users in their organization.

File sharing

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Go to Services > Messaging.

  3. To allow upload, download, and preview of files in Webex Spaces

    • Toggle Allow external file sharing

    Users logged-in to an external Wi-Fi will be able to interact with files.

Guest participation

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Go to Services > Messaging.

  3. To allow people from outside your organization to join Webex Space

    • Toggle Allow guests

Third-party content management

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Go to Services > Messaging.

  3. Content management allows you to select a third-party storage provider in addition to Webex cloud storage:

    • Box

      1. Click Edit to set up Box storage.

      2. In the Box settings, toggle Turn on Box storage.

      3. Users can override permissions while sharing Box documents, and choose the default Box sharing permissions from the drop-down list:

        • Anyone

        • Users in your organization

        • Users with existing access

      4. Click Save.

    • Microsoft

      1. Click Edit to set up Microsoft storage.

      2. In the Microsoft settings, toggle Turn on Microsoft storage to integrate Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint linked folders.

      3. Users can override permissions while sharing OneDrive and SharePoint documents, and choose the default Microsoft sharing permissions from the drop-down list:

        • Anyone

        • Users in your organization

        • Users in this space

        • Users with existing access

      4. Select Allow editing check box, to allow users with access to edit your files.

      5. Select the linked folders options:

        • Block linked folders

          Users can't link folders to Webex spaces.

        • Allow linked folders

          Users can link folders with shared files to Webex spaces.

        • Allow linked folders as default storage location

          Users can link folders (as the default storage location) with shared files to Webex spaces.

      6. Click Save.

    • Google

      1. Click Edit to set up Google storage.

      2. In the Google settings, toggle Turn on Google storage.

      3. Users can override permissions while sharing google documents, and choose the default Google sharing permissions from the drop-down list:

        • Anyone

        • Users in your organization

        • Users with existing access

      4. Select Allow editing check box, to allow users with access to edit your files.

      5. Enter the Email Domain for Google Drive, for example: abc.com

      6. Click Save.

Device management

You can assign and manage devices for users and workspaces in Webex User Hub.

Add devices

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Click Services.

  3. Click Devices > Add Devices.

  4. Select owner of the device and Select device from the drop-down list.

  5. Enter the MAC address of the IP phone you want to add. (Required)

    A 12-digit number, usually separated by colons or hyphens, assigned to each device.

  6. Click Continue.

Device logs

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Click Services.

  3. Click Devices > select the Device.

  4. Under Troubleshooting section, click on Send device log.

  5. The https://help.webex.com/contact Contact Us pages opens with different support interaction options:

    • Chat with an Expert - Webex Chat Assistant can help and connect you with an agent if needed.

    • Call Support

    • Open a Case - Provide details for support to respond to you via email, phone, or Webex message.

    • Webex Status - Check to see if there’s an incident affecting your Webex service.

Delete device

  1. Sign in to Webex User Hub at https://user.webex.com to access administration settings.

  2. Click Services.

  3. Click Devices > select the Device.

  4. Click Delete device.
